SCALANCE XF-200

Flat and flexible

The SCALANCE XF-200BA Industrial Ethernet Switches have the same extra-flat design as the SIMATIC ET 200SP with a flexible bus adapter concept: This allows installation of various network topologies for cooper or fiber-optic cables. Equipped with coated printed circuit boards (Conformal Coating) and with a temperature range of -40 °C to +70 °C, the managed switches are ideal for use in manufacturing and process automation, for example in automobile manufacturing or in the oil and gas industry.

The BA 2xRJ45VD HA BusAdapter is capable of both standard Ethernet communication via 4-wire cables (twisted pair) and data transfer via 2-wire cables (single twisted pair). This means existing PROFIBUS DP infrastructures can continue to be used, thereby avoiding costly retrofitting at the field level in particular.
