The RD300 is a remote display for level, flow, pressure, weighing, and other process instruments. This display also acts as a multi-purpose, easy to use rate/totalizer ideal for flow rate, total, and control applications.
Data can be remotely collected, logged and presented on your local computer using the free downloadable RD Software.
The display accepts a single input of current and voltage. This makes the RD300 an ideal fit for use with most field instruments.
The RD300 can be set up as a standard panel mount, or combined with optional enclosures to allow it to house up to 6 displays.

The pressure transmitter SITRANS LH300 is a submersible sensor for hydrostatic level measurement with protective caps made of PPE, stainless steel and ETFE. The transmitter converts the level-proportional hydrostatic pressure into a standardized 4 to 20 mA signal. The transmitter consists of a stainless steel housing (Ø 30 mm) with mechanical protection IP68 and the piezo-resistive sensor with ceramic diaphragm made of 99,6 % purity ceramic ensures versatile use, also good in drinking water systems. The transmitter cable has a diameter of Ø 8 mm and also contains a vent pipe for connection to atmosphere. The pressure transmitter measures liquid levels in tanks, containers, channels and dams. SITRANS LH300 pressure transmitters are available for various measuring ranges and with explosion protection as an option.

1. Components
The system basically consists of the following components:
Carrier modules for interface modules: The carrier modules are used for the electrical and mechanical connection of the individual modules.
Interface modules (IM) for connection to PROFINET single or redundant. The fieldbus is connected via the Busadapter (BA), which allows connection technology and physics to be freely selected according to the application requirements.
Server module closes the station.
Carrier modules for I/O modules: By connecting the carrier modules to the terminal blocks, the slots for the I/O modules are created.
Terminal blocks: The terminal blocks provide the process terminals for connecting the sensors, actuators and other devices.
I/O modules determine the function of the module at the terminals. I/O modules are subdivided into module types. These are characterized in each case by modul-type-specfic and colored square printed on the front.

The industrial Ethernet switch SCALANCE XF204-2BA DNA (Dual Network Access) enables integration of S2 devices in a high-availability PROFINET system (R1 system) via what is termed as Y-Switch functionality.
Two ports of the Y-Switch enable the connection of S2 devices using the media redundancy method, MRP. This can be implemented selectively via copper or fiber optic in a ring structure.
The two other ports establish the network connection from the Y-Switch to a high-availability R1 system.
Y-switch functionality additionally increases the availability of a process plant and helps avoid plant standstills.
