Transfer data wirelessly from the control cabinet in perfect interaction with SIMATIC S7-1500! Or you can even use our devices with degree of protection IP65 outside the control cabinet.

The SCALANCE W770 access points and SCALANCE W730 client modules in SIMATIC design reliably implement wireless communication between the control and an ET 200MP, acting as a sort of header module.

This allows networks ranging from simple machine networks to large wireless areas to be implemented using MIMO technology with data transmission rates of up to 300 Mbps.

Due to optional iFeatures provided by the KEY-PLUG W780 iFeature, it is even possible to perform wireless data communication in real-time via PROFINET IO.

Using the new access points SCALANCE W778-1 M12, you have rugged devices conforming to IP65 which can be used in demanding ambient conditions. The compact design, as well as the many installation options using DIN-rail assemblies, angle adapters, or direct bolting to the wall, saves space and ensures flexibility.

SCALANCE W780 Access Points

Indoors, outdoors, in harsh environments

Using real-time communication where reliable data transmission is required – and wireless! The SCALANCE W780 access points and SCALANCE W740 client modules support data rates of up to 450 Mbps according to IEEE 802.11n standard, allowing you, for example, to position the fully mobile clients across several radio cells using MIMO technology.

Use iFeatures such as iREF (industrial Range Extension Function) activated via the KEY-PLUG W780 iFeatures, to open new application areas: Data transmission along rail tracks, in holiday parks or even applications with EMERGENCY STOP function via a mobile panel become possible – whether indoors, outdoors or in harsh environmental conditions

Access Points SCALANCE W1788

Wireless transmission in accordance with the current WLAN standard IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 in harsh industrial environments: There are no limits to wireless transmission with the SCALANCE W1788 Access Points.

IWLAN applications with particularly high bandwidths can be optimally implemented with the 11ac standard, for example, in case of high user density or high-performance video transmission.

The innovative MU-MIMO (Multiuser-MIMO) technology ensures even more efficient data transmission rate. It can be used to structure data flows. The switch with two managed Ethernet Gigabit ports integrated in the Access Point offers various networking options such as link aggregation or redundancy.

Even installation outside the control cabinet is not a problem thanks to the high IP65 protection class as well as screw-fixed M12 and N-Connect.

Thanks to proven iFeatures, e.g. iPRP (industrial Parallel Redundancy Protocol), seamless redundancy is possible via WLAN. In mobile applications, such as automated guided vehicles or railway applications, redundant wireless communication ensures reliable data transmission. The new Industry Access Points also offer the proven SCALANCE W parameterization interfaces.
