The SCALANCE XC-200 Industrial Ethernet switches offer many functions: Virtual LANs (VLAN), redundancy mechanisms and optional complete PROFINET or Ethernet/IP diagnostics in one device.
Using the Fast Ethernet and Gigabit versions, powerful, reliable Industrial Ethernet networks can be established, and electrical and optical topologies likewise. For bandwidth-intensive applications, e.g. in tunnels, or high-availability control concepts, the SCALANCE XC-200G Gigabit versions are the ideal choice.
Thanks to a wide range of features, such as an extended temperature range (‐40° C to +70° C) and approvals for railway applications (trackside) and explosion-proof areas (ATEX Zone 2, IECEx), the various SCALANCE XC‐200 switches can be flexibly deployed in a variety of environments: machine construction, the automotive industry, the food and beverages industry, along rail-mounted routes in tunnels with video transmission, e.g. for height checks, or in the oil and gas industry.
Advantages
Robust housing and extended temperature range (-40 °C to 70 °C)
Gigabit-capable and bridging up to 200 km
Trackside railway approval (EN 50121-4) and use in hazardous areas (ATEX Zone 2, IECEx)
Optional support of real-time communication via PROFINET or Ethernet/IP
Prevention of downtimes caused by contaminated or worn optical connections by means of Fiber Monitoring.
Use as a Service Bridge for maintenance of machines and systems together with SCALANCE SC-600 is also ensured.
An IP66, 19 inch cabinet system designed to protect sensitive network equipment from harsh environments where equipment is exposed to dust or water.
Applications
The Ausrack IP is designed for applications when computer network equipment needs to be installed into harsh environments, where dust or water can easily cause considerable damage. Inside the Ausrack IP you can be sure that your equipment and data is safe from the outside world, no matter how harsh the conditions.
Typical application areas can be as diverse as mine sites, manufacturing plants, refineries, or campuses, but what all these have in common is the potential for adverse conditions.
The Ausrack IP system provides an IP66 protection rating which ensures you of a dust proof environment and protection of your equipment against high pressure jets of water.
